Acceleration

A run with the ball with a significant speed up.

Aerial duel

When two or more players from opposing teams jump to compete for the ball.

Attacking Actions

Attacking actions refer to any offensive move or play by a player or team that contributes to advancing the ball toward the opponent's goal and creating scoring opportunities.

Counterpressing recovery

Any Recovery that ends a Possession of the opposition team with length less than 5 seconds.

Covering teammate

A defensive non-ball run to cover a zone left empty by a teammate.

Crosses

A ball played from the offensive flanks aimed towards a teammate in the area in front of the opponent’s goal.

Defensive Actions

An act of player actively intercepting the ball by anticipating its movement when the opponent is shooting, passing or crossing

Defensive Duel

When a player attempts to dispossess an opposition player to stop an attack progressing

Dribble past

An attempt to prevent an opposing player in possession of the ball to dribble past the player.
